The location was next to the train and bus station which is very convenient. Very new and family friendly. I had a child with me and they provided kids meal and toiletries. Room was spacious enough for 3 of us. Onsen was heavenly.

cleanliness and location

1) proficiency in English is very poor2) My husband was having fever and cough , i spoke to the morning lady staff to allow him to have his breakfast in the room, the staff says it is not possible. Since breakfast was in bento style , i cant understand why they are so reluctant to do it for a sick in-house guest?3) hotel staff should just rendered a hand to arrange for a taxi to a nearby hospital since my husband is quite weak due to the fever and headache. Instead they just shown you the location ..then full stop!4) Breakfast is a big letdown with such a nice/new hotel.

We really like this hotel. Perfect for our family. The size of the room, the convenient, the staffs are very nice, the location is so closed to the train station and good food.

Walking distance to takayama and nohi bus station. Old town is walkable, too. Many restos around.

No place to store clothes. We stayed 5 nights. The pillows are tiny, too.

Western breakfast was rather limited -- no butter for example. Breads no variety.Variety was there though not necessarily tasty and portions rather small,Perhaps less variety but larger servings

We had such a huge room for 3 of us, with a living area. The hotel had a public onsen, which was very nice. Also the location was superb! So close to the bus station and train station! Very clean, superb quality, nice personnel.

Perfect location next to the bus and train stations, modern concept with respect for traditions and local culture and artisans. Lounge and guest amenities (guest laundry) are top notch. Amazing bathroom and large tub! Views of the mountains were spectacular from our 7 fl room.

Western breakfasts were not served hot and could be simplified to not include wagashi and sweets.

Hotel, room, bathrooms, location all great. Easy to get to and from train station and bus to Shirakawago. Restaurants and sights all within walking distance. Clean, modern, comfortable. We had a nice view facing west. Very good breakfast - we tried both the Japanese and vegan breakfast choices. We booked the private onsen for a small fee and that was very relaxing at the end of the day. The staff helped us arrange luggage forwarding. Best staff of all our Japan trip hotel stays, very polite, kind, and helpful, made us feel very welcome - thank you!

The location was perfect for getting to and from Takayama and for meeting up for a tour to Shirakawago. The staff couldn’t have been friendlier and the room was spacious and clean.

The onsen was very crowded and the congestion update didn’t accurately reflect that.

The hotel was so clean, the staff were friendly, walkable to everywhere, and the onsen was a huge plus

Location is very close to station and all the sights in Takayama. Nice, modern hotel. We had a nice dinner meal in the restaurant. The Japanese bath was very clean and nice! Storage lockers on site handy.

Be advised the breakfast is timed - you may not get the time you need as it’s first come first served on time slots after they’re released at noon.

Excellent stay. Great location and friendly staff. Also, plenty of parking spaces just in front of the hotel.

For some reason we got extra large bed and the room was very cramped. It was not a great value for the price when you pay additional price for breakfast

The bed and the space of the room. The staff were very friendly and polite. The private onsen was perfect after a long day travelling.

The pillows were too soft and flat for us. The bicycle seat needs proper cushion, it is too hard after cycling for 10 minutes, our buttocks were painful after cycling for 10 minutes.The dryer does not dry well our clothes, probably need a separate dryer to do so.

Hotel was beautifully designed , super-clean , room amenities were tasteful.The efficiency was one of the winning qualities of this hotel . Checking in and out was so quick and easy.Also there is a self- help luggage storage , it's the first I've used and it should be a standard for all hotels.Bed was comfy, location was amazing, it's a 5 minute walk from the train station.

Thank you for everything, the hotel is clean, close to everything and the staff very friendly and helpful. The room was big and the bed comfortable! I will go again if in the area.
